Wand heavy attacks are immediately available in the 1.0 design, while aerial and evasion attacks are unlocked skills. Check the skill tree and current control hints before expecting all three actions from an unchanged old loadout.

Reviewed October 17, 2026 · 1.0 release and Hotfix 1.0.0.2 source review

A newly advertised combat action can be a baseline input or a skill-dependent move. Those need different checks. Learn the available heavy attack first, then evaluate which additional movement attacks fit your role and point budget.

What to do, in order

  1. Equip the intended wand and read the current attack prompts. Use the binding shown by your own controller or keyboard configuration.
  2. Check the tree for the aerial or evasion skill you want, including its prerequisites. Reallocate points if the 1.0 migration reset the old tree.
  3. Test one action at a time in a familiar, manageable encounter. Separate the input problem from an unfamiliar enemy or a changed target-selection behavior.
  4. If the skill text is unclear, check whether the installed build includes Hotfix 1.0.0.2’s localization corrections before copying an interpretation from another language.

Match the situation to the right check

Heavy attack works but an aerial move does not

That is consistent with baseline access being different from a skill unlock. Verify the selected node rather than assuming the wand is faulty.

An old guide uses a different input

Recheck current prompts and your bindings. An old control example is not a guarantee for a customized layout.

Conditions and limits

No universal key combination, frame-perfect combo, damage gain or best-in-slot wand is invented. The guide distinguishes access conditions and a practical learning order.

Sources and version notes

The documented behavior comes from Keen Games’ Release trailer, changelog... everything you need to wait for tomorrow!. Hotfix 1.0.0.2 provides the later migration, world-settings and localization corrections discussed where relevant. The ordering and diagnostic comparisons are independent editorial guidance. We do not claim a personal playtest, guaranteed recovery or a measured combat result. Check later patch notes if your build differs.
