How to make Dust in Infinite Craft
Combine Wind + Earth to make Dust. Put Earth on the canvas and drag Wind onto it. Both are starting elements, so this route needs no crafted intermediate ingredient.

The direct Dust recipe
- Take Earth from the element sidebar and place it in an empty part of the canvas.
- Take Wind from the sidebar and drop it onto that Earth tile.
- Read the result after the combination completes. Our output was labeled Dust, and Dust appeared in the sidebar.
Our test notes: isolate the Earth tile
Our canvas was not empty when we tested Dust. It already contained Ocean, Steam and Plant from earlier experiments. We placed a fresh Earth below those tiles and dragged Wind onto that Earth, leaving the earlier results alone. The result at the new location changed to Dust.
Keeping a separate test area made the inputs easier to track. The Plant tile above the Dust did not participate. You do not need Plant to perform this route: the two items we brought together were the starting elements Earth and Wind.
We had also tested Earth with Water in the same session. That pair gave Plant instead. Comparing the two observations gives a useful check: when the Earth input is fixed, using Water produced Plant in our test, while using Wind produced Dust. Check which starting element you dragged before assuming the recipe is broken.
After the Dust combination finished, Dust appeared as a new sidebar entry beside Plant. We used the written label to identify the output, rather than treating any grey-looking icon as the target. This guide refers to the element named Dust, not another target with extra words in its name.
Our verification is deliberately narrow: we observed Wind + Earth producing Dust. The screenshot shows that result in our own browser session. It does not establish a recipe for Dust Storm, Dust Bowl or other similarly named items, and we have not added those untested paths here.
Dust recipe questions
Can I make Dust from starting elements?
Yes. Our tested combination used Earth and Wind directly. You do not need to craft Plant, Steam or Ocean first.
Why did I make Plant instead?
In our comparison, Earth + Water made Plant. For Dust, use Wind with Earth. If you did use the exact Dust pair and saw another output, report that result rather than assuming it matches our session.
Does this also make Dust Storm?
This page verifies Dust only. Similar names do not establish the same recipe. We have not published a tested Dust Storm path here.
