Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2
A Bloodcrusher split apart. Why is something still attacking?
On this page
The rider and its Juggernaut do not always die together. When one part reaches low or no health, the pair can separate and the surviving part keeps attacking. Keep your aim on the survivor instead of assuming the fight ended with the split.

Handle the charge and the follow-up separately
- Before firing, identify a lateral escape with enough open floor. Avoid letting the mounted enemy pin you between itself and a wall.
- Move out of the approach line while keeping the enemy in view.
- When it separates, look for the part that is still moving and attacking.
- Finish that survivor before switching your attention to a distant target, unless an immediate attack forces you to move.
This is a target-check routine, not a guaranteed dodge timing. The official description does not provide a universal shot count, a special rear weak point or a fixed health threshold. Choose the weapon that lets you keep the survivor in sight with the ammunition you have.
Do not mistake circling for safety
Flesh Hounds circle at a distance before closing in, and they arrive in packs. When one is in front of you, leave room to turn and check the sides. Backing into a dead end to keep a single hound centred can give the rest of the pack an easier approach.

A nearly dead Berzerker can be the urgent target
Khorne Berzerkers become faster and more dangerous at low health. If you have already hurt one, reassess it before putting every shot into a fresh distant enemy. Leaving the wounded Berzerker active can leave you with a faster pursuer while your attention is elsewhere.
Bloodletters also leap in from a distance. Against a mixed group, keep a route open and reassess the nearest active threat after each kill or split. Avoid a rigid “always shoot the biggest enemy first” rule: a fast survivor in melee range can demand the next shot.
Playing Nyra? Use Fervent Slide with an exit in mind, rather than sliding into the middle of the next pack.
