How to fight a Scarab Occult Terminator that keeps relocating
On this page
When the Terminator disappears, reacquire it before committing your next heavy shot. Its phase shift changes where the threat is coming from. Firing at the old position wastes your next opportunity and can leave your back exposed to the new one.

Break the fight into target checks
- Identify the Terminator and an obstacle you can move around without trapping yourself.
- Attack while you have a clear line of sight.
- As soon as it relocates, stop tracking its previous location. Look across the arena for the new position.
- Move so the new firing angle is in front of you, then resume attacking.
That pause is about confirming the target, not waiting through a documented immunity timer. The official material confirms relocation but does not establish an exact cooldown or a universal vulnerable window. Do not build your plan around a guessed number of seconds.
Reduce the number of angles you must watch
Nearby Rubric Marines keep ranged pressure on you while you search. If several smaller shooters already have clear sight lines, remove a manageable one before spending a long time tracking the Terminator. You want fewer attacks coming from outside the part of the screen you are inspecting.

Cover is useful only if it still blocks the current attack direction. A pillar that protected you from the old position may put you on the exposed side after a relocation. Check where the enemy has gone before settling into another firing position.
Avoid two common assumptions
First, disappearance is not proof of a kill. Look for the reappearing enemy and ongoing attacks. Second, the developer lists several ranged weapon types for Scarab Occult Terminators; do not assume every encounter has the same projectile pattern simply because the silhouette matches.
If you repeatedly lose the enemy in a busy room, prioritise a clearer view over a risky close approach. This guide does not claim a particular weapon deletes the Terminator in one shot. The useful change is to stop spending ammunition before you have reacquired a target.
For trouble finding the route after the arena is clear, use the automap and Navigation Guide.
