Lina Light Strike Array: aim where the target will be

Light Strike Array is an area stun, whereas Dragon Slave sends damage along a path. Their target shapes differ, so a good direction for one is not automatically a hit with the other.

Practise the decision step by step

  1. Read the current cast behaviour in demo mode before building a timing habit from an old clip.
  2. Aim the stun around the opponent’s expected movement or an ally’s existing control.
  3. Use the line spell with awareness of what lies beyond the first target.
  4. After casting, inspect whether you missed the area, mistimed the control or lacked follow-up damage; practise the relevant failure separately.

The mistake to look for

Pressing both spells rapidly does not make their geometry identical. Avoid turning an area-aiming problem into an unnecessary close-range chase.

A controlled demo exercise

Practise on a stationary target first, then a moving one. Add an allied disable and compare the aim required when the target is held. This is a learning sequence, not a guaranteed combo timing.

Keep the setup consistent between attempts: same hero state, same target arrangement and the same abilities available. Change one decision, observe the outcome, then repeat. If an item, upgrade or new patch changes the ability, read that effect before comparing the attempts.

Use this in a real match

Before acting, name the immediate objective: control a target, protect an ally, maintain position or create a damage opportunity. After the fight, review whether your chosen action produced that objective. The outcome of the match alone does not tell you which part of the sequence worked.

This page is a focused mechanics lesson. It does not supply a universal item build, talent order, exact timing script or ranked win-rate claim. Team composition, items and current balance changes can alter the best choice.
