How to make Plant in Infinite Craft
Combine Earth + Water to make Plant. Put Water on an empty area of the canvas, then drag Earth onto it. Both inputs are available among the starting elements.

Make Plant step by step
- Find Water in the original game's element sidebar and drag a copy onto the canvas.
- Find Earth in the sidebar and drop it directly onto that Water tile.
- Wait for the completed result and read its label: Plant. You can stop here if Plant is your target.
Our test notes: use Water, not Wind
We put a new Water tile near the middle of the canvas and brought Earth across from the sidebar. The result at that position read Plant. A Plant entry also appeared in the sidebar. Ocean and Steam were already on other parts of the canvas, but neither was used in this combination.
To check a possible ingredient mix-up, we ran a separate experiment. We placed a fresh Earth lower down the canvas and added Wind. That result read Dust, while the Plant tile remained separately above it. Earth was common to both experiments; the other input was different.
This gives you a practical check if you get Dust when following this Plant route: our Dust experiment used Wind, whereas our Plant experiment used Water. Read the input names before combining rather than assuming any starting element paired with Earth will give the same result.
Keep the target in view while experimenting. Our completed Plant could be seen on the canvas and selected in the sidebar. For this guide, we publish only the successful Earth + Water recipe. Later attempts to extend the Plant route did not yield a result we could confidently verify, so they are not instructions on this page.
The screenshot is evidence of our session's output, not proof that every alternative Plant recipe works. We did not test a full catalogue, time a speedrun, or verify routes to Tree and Flower. You do not need those routes to follow the starting-element combination above.

Do I need to unlock another ingredient first?
No for this route. We used Water and Earth directly from the sidebar; no intermediate ingredient was needed.
Is Plant the same target as Planet?
Use the exact label Plant for this page. If your goal is Planet, follow our separate Planet route; it uses a different input sequence.
What should I do if the result is different?
Check both ingredient labels. If Earth + Water produces something other than Plant for you, send the exact inputs, result and a screenshot to contact@craftandquest.com. We will not substitute an untested combination.
