Small Tenebris Somnia achievements to catch before moving on

Before unlocking Ivan’s opening door, knock ten times. Later, inspect his Floor 2 office picture five times, collect the optional Iron Pipe and read every Old Book page. These checks belong at different points in the run; finding the late-game photograph does not replace inspecting the earlier office picture.

Opening door: do this before using the keys
Maybe He’s In The Bathroom is the easiest one to pass without noticing. At the very beginning, keep interacting with Ivan’s closed apartment door ten times. Renka’s record specifically places this before you use the Apartment Keys. Check for the achievement, then unlock the door and continue.
If you are already deep into the apartment puzzles, searching every bathroom is not the answer to the achievement’s name. Make this the first check on a fresh run. Keep the keys unused until you finish the repeated door interaction.
First Floor 2 visit: inspect the office picture five times
Thinking About Him, huh? refers to a picture already in Ivan’s apartment. On your first visit to the Floor 2 version, enter the room beside the TV containing the computers and revolver. Interact with Ivan’s picture five times.
This is easy to confuse with the later Photo Roll and darkroom quest. They are different interactions at different stages. Developing the later photograph is a progression puzzle; this achievement asks for repeated inspection of the office picture.
Take the Screwdriver back to the bar bathroom
Classics Never Die requires picking up the Iron Pipe. Find the Screwdriver on a box in the staircase at the place where you watch film reels, then use it to obtain the pipe in the bar bathroom. This detour matters if you later want the pipe-only Fumus achievement.
Picking up the weapon and using it are separate actions. If you are planning Wrench Queen, keep your combat limited to the Wrench. Renka treats another weapon’s aim, attack or shot as unsafe for that run. Preserve an earlier save before experimenting with a restricted-weapon boss challenge.
Before the finale: actually read the Old Book
De Relictis is for reading all Old Book pages. Do not assume the achievement follows automatically from carrying the book or receiving new information in it. Open it and read the available pages before finishing the game.
The projector-room combination is also recorded there, so the book has practical use before the final sweep. When an interaction adds information, revisit it rather than saving every page for a last-minute check.
One More For The Road asks you to drink Lavendoleum while already at full health. Do this only when you can spare the consumable; drinking it after taking damage is a normal heal and does not meet the recorded condition.
Three saves that prevent unnecessary replay
- Before photo development: finish all six Star Lockers.
- Before the beast-form Sanguis fight: keep a retry for making the boss break every mannequin.
- After obtaining Aurifer, before killing a ghost: preserve the ordinary ending split.
