The Witch’s Bakery
How recipe practice works in the night-time atelier
On this page
Open the atelier at night, choose a recipe in the book and finish its preparation sequence. Check that recipe’s level in the book afterwards. Daytime dough preparation keeps Orio supplied; it does not replace practising a recipe here.
Start with the book, not a guessed ingredient list
The book separates recipes into categories and displays a level for each entry. Select the recipe you intend to practise, then use its own instructions. Baguette, Croissant and Chausson aux Pommes do not share one universal sequence.

Follow the current action on the recipe card
- At the ingredient station, use the recipe’s displayed quantities. Watch the scale when adding dry ingredients.
- Continue to the mixing or shaping action when the game advances the instruction.
- Use the on-screen prompt for the current tool. Depending on the recipe, the demonstration shows pouring, turning, spreading, cutting, folding or rolling.
- Finish the oven step and collect the finished bake when prompted.
- Return to the book and inspect that recipe’s level.

When the book seems unchanged
Check whether you actually completed and collected the bake, then make sure you are looking at the same recipe entry. In the recorded Chausson aux Pommes session, the book moves from its initial level entry to the next level after the full sequence. Do not read a different pastry’s unchanged level as proof that the completed session failed.
This guide does not assume every recipe has identical timing, rewards or unlock conditions. If the next ingredient or action differs from these examples, follow the active card in your game. The useful routine is to select a recipe, finish its sequence and check its own entry.
For a daytime production shortage, use the dough stock guide instead.
