Adding vehicles may also add queues. Check the line’s displayed Rate again after changing the fleet.
Where the numbers come from
The game’s Rate is yearly cargo/passenger throughput per station; Frequency is the time between vehicles at normal game speed. This planner uses your entered line Rate as its baseline. Estimated per-vehicle rate = current line Rate ÷ vehicle count. Suggested fleet = ceiling(target × (1 + margin) ÷ per-vehicle rate). Added vehicles = max(0, suggested fleet − current fleet). The calculation assumes similar vehicles and unchanged route conditions; it does not simulate congestion. Cargo and transport selectors label your scenario; they do not insert vehicle statistics. Cargo and transport icons are from the Urban Games developer manual, © Urban Games.
Default example: 240 ÷ 4 = 60 per vehicle; ceiling(360 ÷ 60) = 6; 6 − 4 = 2 extra. Load example uses illustrative inputs. Developer manual ↗
