Build farming and attack pressure around Moon Glaives, then choose Manta or BKB for the actual defensive problem. Cast Eclipse and the other spells you need before Mask of Madness silences you. Eclipse uses your current Lucent Beam level, and its beams do not provide Lucent Beam’s stun.

This is an attack-carry route with a spell window, not a promise that buying one ultimate item replaces normal progression. The key question is whether you can safely cast and then continue attacking. Mask’s self-silence makes the order of those actions especially important.

Build the next useful function, not a fixed six-slot list
| Stage | Proposed purchase | Decision before buying |
|---|---|---|
| Lane | Power Treads and lane recovery | Preserve a workable lane before committing to a farming item. |
| Clearing | Mask of Madness as a deliberate attack window | Activate it when you can tolerate the silence and armor penalty. |
| First defensive branch | Manta for its basic dispel and images; BKB for applicable spell disruption | Do not treat a basic dispel as protection against every disable. |
| Further damage | Choose the next attack item after the survival check | A damage slot has little value if no usable attack window remains. |
Cast order and the commitment
- Check Lucent Beam investment and the units around the intended Eclipse fight. An ultimate level alone does not establish the beam damage.
- Cast the beam, orbit, Eclipse and protection that the chosen entrance requires before activating a self-silencing Mask.
- After committing to Mask, spend the attack opportunity on a reachable target. Do not expect to cast a rescue spell during the silence.
Skill priorities for this plan
Keep Lucent Beam relevant when an early Eclipse fight is the plan. Moon Glaives are the clearing and bouncing-attack tool; Lunar Orbit is a separate active. Avoid an automatic maximum-farm skill allocation when the next team action depends on the spell combination, but do not sacrifice all clearing simply to make one hypothetical Eclipse stronger.
Talent branches: choose the failure you need to solve
| Tier | Current alternatives | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| 10 | Glaive bounce reduction / Beam ministun | More retained bounce damage versus a longer small interruption. |
| 15 | Orbit glaive / Beam damage | Contact-range Orbit emphasis versus stronger beams. |
| 20 | Eclipse cooldown / Orbit damage and speed | More frequent ultimate access versus the Orbit commitment. |
| 25 | Lunar Blessing damage / Beam additional target | Attack contribution versus the targeted spell branch. |
These are decision branches from the reviewed talent labels. Exact values can change; inspect the current selection panel before committing the point.

What the interaction actually changes
Moon Glaives lose damage on successive bounces. Eclipse distributes beams among eligible nearby enemies rather than guaranteeing every beam on the hero you prefer. Clearing and choosing the fight therefore affect which part of the build gets value; more beams alone is not a complete target-selection plan.
Reserve mana for the whole sequence
| Cast or item | Listed mana cost |
|---|---|
| Lucent Beam | 120 |
| Lunar Orbit | 80 |
| Eclipse | 250 |
| Mask of Madness | 25 |
| Black King Bar | 50 |
120 + 80 + 250 + 25 + 50 = 525 mana. This is the listed rank-4 Beam, rank-4 Orbit and rank-3 Eclipse sequence plus Mask and BKB. Manta is not included: reserve its additional cost if the actual plan uses it.
This is a sum of listed costs before mana-cost modifiers, regeneration or omitted actives, not a prediction of your exact displayed mana after the fight.
When the build fails, change the right part
I pressed Eclipse but cannot cast it
Check Mask’s active silence and the remaining mana, not only the ultimate cooldown.
Eclipse did less than expected
Review Lucent Beam level, nearby eligible units and whether Luna survived the sequence.
Manta did not replace BKB
Write down the specific disable you hoped to solve. Basic dispel and sustained protection are different item functions.
