Requester chest gets nothing? Check the network before adding more bots

Put the requester and its supply in the same orange logistic network, provide logistic robots and available items, and confirm the request is enabled. Green construction coverage alone does not provide logistic delivery.

Run a small delivery test

  1. Choose one ordinary item already present in a passive provider or storage chest.
  2. Place a requester within the same connected orange coverage and request a small amount.
  3. Confirm there are logistic robots in that network, not only construction robots.
  4. Check for a circuit condition disabling the chest. A disabled requester can retain configured requests without actively requesting.
  5. Observe whether a delivery is assigned before increasing the requested quantity.

For a diagnostic request of 20 items, separate “none supplied,” “robots carrying items” and “delivered but immediately consumed.” A nearby inserter may remove deliveries as fast as they arrive; an empty chest is not sufficient evidence of zero delivery.

Inventory nearby may belong to the wrong system

Separate logistic networks do not share their stock. Roboports link through touching logistic areas; the connection is shown by a dashed yellow line. Trace that connection from provider to requester rather than judging the distance between the chests.

A normal chest is not a provider. Requester chests can draw from buffer chests only when their Request from buffer chests option is enabled. Inspect the actual source chest type before concluding the game has ignored a visible stockpile.

Requests work, but the factory remains slow

Watch the roboport charging queues and power supply. More robots cannot repair a shortage of recharge capacity or an excessively long trip. Try a nearby provider/requester pair first; if that works promptly, the large network’s route and charging load deserve attention.

Keep the working small request as a reference while restoring the real item and amount. If the problem returns only with that item, compare supply availability and quality selection instead of rebuilding the entire robot network.
