Ver.1.042 makes the set of 25 event and Challenge Quests identified in its August 4 notes playable offline. It also makes Just What the Doctor Ordered permanent. Update the full game and inspect the Quest Counter’s available list; this is not a blanket promise that all future events work offline.

Check in this order

  1. Check the installed full-game version rather than a demo or an older unupdated installation.
  2. Open the Quest Counter and inspect the actual quest you want. The update moves available quests toward the top of the event list.
  3. Compare the quest name with the scope of the official announcement. Treat newer or different quests separately.
  4. If it remains unavailable, record its name, version and displayed requirement before changing files or assuming offline play itself is broken.

A permanent quest and a revised access rule

The announcement contains two related changes: a specifically named quest becomes permanent, while an existing set of event and Challenge Quests gains offline access. Those are not identical promises. Do not infer that every quest that ever appeared online has become a permanent offline entry.

Version scope matters

The August announcement describes the quests available at that point. Later additions can have their own conditions. Use a quest-specific notice for newer content rather than expanding the number in an old update into an unlimited guarantee. This guide is about the base game, not future Ascendance content.

Do not confuse visibility with eligibility

A quest’s position in the counter is an interface clue, not proof that your character meets every displayed condition. Read the entry that is actually unavailable. The note does not supply a universal workaround that removes the quest’s other requirements.

Preserve progress while investigating

An offline quest question does not require deleting the save to test unrelated Prologue Demo transfer rules. Keep the current character and record the specific unavailable entry. Report that evidence rather than replacing a broad set of files and making it harder to identify the original problem.
