Applies to: Beta v0.111.0 timing and Forge changes. Check the installed card text before following the combination.

On the reviewed beta, Guiding Star draws next turn rather than immediately, and its Star cost is reduced to 1. A lower resource cost does not restore same-turn draw. Any old loop depending on the card immediately replacing itself needs to be rechecked.

Build the useful turn, in order

  1. Write the proposed sequence in play order. Mark which draw happens now and which draw is scheduled for the next turn.
  2. Track Energy and Stars as separate balances. A positive total in one resource does not pay a shortage in the other.
  3. Check whether the next required card is already accessible. If it depends on delayed draw, stop treating the chain as an uninterrupted same-turn loop.
  4. Choose support for the actual plan: surviving the wait, drawing now or improving a later Blade payoff.

What the plan needs

Star generation and forging a Blade can coexist, but they are not the same resource engine. In v0.111.0, Spoils of Battle gains a different Forge amount while Refine Blade loses some. Those changes can affect the relative value of setup cards; they do not by themselves prove that either route is a complete self-sustaining loop. Build the immediate sequence first, then assess longer-term scaling.

A concrete comparison

If a sequence spends 1 Star on Guiding Star expecting the next card to arrive immediately, the next-turn timing breaks that assumption even when another effect refunds the Star. The missing piece is access this turn. Test the entire loop’s draw, resources, hand space and enemy survival conditions before using the word infinite.

A cheaper card must be a stronger loop piece

Timing and resource price are independent parts of the combination.

Version and sources

Sources retrieved October 18, 2026. The stated branch is part of the mechanic, not an optional label. Main and beta may have different card text; do not combine values from both into a fictional build. Calculations and decision sequences are independent analysis, not a personal gameplay result, win-rate claim or guaranteed infinite.

Before adopting the route, compare the current card, its upgrade state and the encounter you need it to solve. If a required piece is absent, choose the next useful action from the existing deck rather than taking a risky reward solely to force this example.
