A first Draugr Fang needs a level-2 Forge, 10 Ancient Bark, 20 Silver, 2 Deer Hide and 10 Guck. Harvest Gucksacks with an axe or pickaxe, or collect Guck from Abominations. Shooting the green sacks with a bow does not harvest them.

Standard, unmodded equipment and Hildir quest rules; normal portal restrictions noted where relevant.

Solve the Guck problem before carrying the silver

Gucksacks are the green growths on Swamp trees. Use an axe or pickaxe to break them. If one is too high to reach, build a safe platform or ladder from accessible ground; firing arrows at it will not replace the harvesting tool.

Take poison protection and leave a usable way down. Build the approach before climbing into attack range, and keep the surrounding area clear enough to retrieve drops. Abominations are another Guck source, but they turn a gathering trip into a fight; do not choose that route without the equipment to finish it.

Separate ore, hides and scraps

The bow requires Silver bars after smelting, and Deer Hide rather than Leather Scraps. Ancient Bark supplies the wood component. If the recipe remains hidden, let the crafting character pick up each material and check the Forge’s improvement level.

Set aside the ten Guck for the new bow before using the rest for green lighting or decorations. A storage chest full of Guck at another base does not help when you arrive at the Forge with nine pieces.

Check the Forge recipe for the first bow separately from its Upgrade tab. This official station image is historical and does not display a Draugr Fang craft.

Use the poison as part of the shot, not the whole shot

Draugr Fang adds poison damage to its arrows. The arrow still matters: keep ammunition available and choose it for the enemy you are fighting. A poison-resistant target can make the green effect look more useful than its actual contribution.

Draw the bow when you have a shot lined up rather than holding it at full draw while searching for a target. Drawing consumes stamina over time. If you need to move or escape, break the aim and restore your positioning before trying again.

Budget one upgrade at a time

UpgradeMaterials for that step
Quality 25 Ancient Bark, 10 Silver, 2 Deer Hide, 2 Guck
Quality 310 Ancient Bark, 20 Silver, 4 Deer Hide, 4 Guck
Quality 420 Ancient Bark, 40 Silver, 8 Deer Hide, 8 Guck

The original craft plus these three steps totals 90 Silver and 24 Guck. Those totals exclude later Forge of Potential upgrades. Try the first bow in the encounters you actually run before spending the entire silver reserve on the last ordinary upgrade.
