Filter Pass and Filter Fail are electrical outputs associated with the conveyor’s filter state. They are not item-transport sockets and a signal is not, by itself, proof that the receiving box reached your target count. Verify inventory movement separately.

Build the smallest useful test first

  1. Disconnect the downstream automation response while testing the conveyor’s basic item route.
  2. Identify Filter Pass and Filter Fail by their labels and keep them separate from industrial input/output connections.
  3. Change one controlled filter condition and observe the relevant signal state. Record the source and destination counts as a second observation.
  4. Reconnect the downstream response only after you know what the signal represents in the actual setup.

A controlled example

An indicator can report that a filter condition passes while your real goal is to stock a destination. Those are different observations. Read the indicator, then inspect the box. If the box is not changing, check the receiver and path rather than treating the signal as a completed delivery receipt.

Make the system serve the actual goal

Design the control action around the information the output actually supplies. A light identifying filter state is a modest diagnostic use. A shutdown system that assumes a full kit has arrived needs stronger validation of its stock condition. Avoid escalating a convenient status output into a claim it was never designed to prove.

Version and setup limits

No pulse duration, guaranteed delivery acknowledgement or full-container sensing behavior is inferred from the output names.

Keep a note of the server and the one setting changed between observations. A modified server can differ from the default design; a historical demonstration is not a measurement of the installation in front of you. Restore the full line in stages after the isolated test works, checking the destination stock after each stage rather than assuming every new connection preserves the result.
