Dressmaker silhouette planning: compare the shape before the trim
Decide the overall outline of the dress before adding small decorations. Compare bodice, waist and skirt shapes in the preview, then return to the request.

What to look at in the picture
This publisher example has a broad, layered skirt; the additional image below shows a narrower outline. They demonstrate visual contrast, not recipes for a named commission.

Step-by-step check
- Describe the intended silhouette in simple visual terms instead of starting with a list of accessories.
- Compare the major component choices in the sketchbook preview, changing one large part at a time.
- Check how the waist and skirt outline relate to the bodice; inspect the full view rather than only a close-up detail.
- Return to the actual request before buying decorations. A shape you prefer is not automatically a requirement or a scoring advantage.
Avoid this wrong conclusion
We do not assign unverified style scores to these shapes. The example garments do not establish which components are available at your progression point.
Evidence and limits
This is an editorial design workflow using publisher images as visual examples. It is not an official tier list or a tested customer solution.
Reference: Publisher press-kit visual examples. Check your installed build and current interface when following an older source. Our inspection sequence is intended to narrow the problem; it is not a guarantee of a particular commission outcome.
