Dressmaker off-rack designs versus customer commissions
Keep your own off-rack design separate from the customer request you intend to complete. The updated photo-scene sale label explicitly identifies an off-rack sale.

What to look at in the picture
The publisher image illustrates a finished dress. It shows appearance, not the current request state or the action required to advance a particular commission.
Step-by-step check
- Read the currently selected sketchbook page before making or finishing a design. Confirm whether you are working toward a specific request.
- If you are exploring your own design, keep a note that it is separate from any unfinished customer commission.
- Before selling, inspect the action’s wording instead of assuming that every sale advances the same customer job.
- If a request seems missing afterward, inspect other sketchbook pages before assuming it was deleted or completed.
Avoid this wrong conclusion
We have not established a universal off-rack unlock point, profit formula or sale price. Do not use an old example dress as a guaranteed money-making recipe.
Evidence and limits
Build 443 clarified the photo-scene sale label. Page navigation and the sale label help distinguish jobs; they do not prove that selling an unrelated dress repairs every progression issue.
Reference: Developer Build 443 notes. Check your installed build and current interface when following an older source. Our inspection sequence is intended to narrow the problem; it is not a guarantee of a particular commission outcome.
