In Build 443, hold Control while scrolling to zoom, and hold the right mouse button while dragging to pan. These updated camera controls are documented in the developer’s notes. Check the build before following an older control guide.

Method: official Build 443 notes reviewed October 16, 2026, plus original troubleshooting suggestions. Not gameplay-tested. Read the developer’s announcement. Instructions may differ on another build.

Separate camera movement from item movement

Before making a fine adjustment, decide what is wrong: your view, the selected item, or its appearance on the garment. Move the camera first if the working area is obscured. Then identify the intended piece before adjusting it. This order is our suggested workflow, not an additional keyboard shortcut.

When you test an unfamiliar control, keep the mouse over the relevant working area and watch what moves. Note whether the view changed or the object changed. A report that names the moving object is easier to understand than “dragging is broken”. Avoid combining several unfamiliar gestures into one attempt.

Build a consistent trim workflow

  1. Choose a small, clearly visible working area.
  2. Position the view so you can inspect that area.
  3. Select the intended trim and check what is selected.
  4. Make one adjustment, then inspect it from another view.
  5. If repeating the look, compare the new piece with the original before continuing.

The duplication control is useful for reusing a configuration, but it does not prove that the same configuration fits every surface. Our recommendation is to inspect each new placement rather than judge it solely from shared settings. This page has no verified universal height or tilt value to recommend.

If old trim looks different

The update warns that trim changes can affect existing dresses. Take a screenshot before adjusting an older design so that you retain a reference. Write down which piece looks different and whether the issue changes when you move the camera. These observations help distinguish a viewing problem from the appearance you want to report.

We have not reproduced your specific issue and do not promise that adjusting one setting fixes it. Preserve your work; do not delete a save just to test a control. If you need developer help, include the build, the affected area, and the shortest sequence that shows the problem.

A practical stopping check

After finishing a section, inspect it before decorating the rest of the garment. If it differs from your plan, resolve that local question first. Keep aesthetic choices separate from customer requirements: this guide explains controls, not how trim contributes to a commission’s score.
