Warframe Icebind Revives: Tombstones, Surviving Players and Lost Key Eligibility
On this page
The Icebind disables normal self-revives. After bleedout, a Tombstone appears: at least three surviving players temporarily sacrifice health to revive the fallen player. If fewer than three remain standing, all remaining survivors must participate. Staying dead for three minutes also stops you receiving new Frozen Keys earned while you remain dead.

Do these checks in order
- Distinguish a downed teammate’s bleedout from the Tombstone stage after death. Communicate the current state.
- Count the players still standing. With three or more available, coordinate at least three contributors; with only one or two standing, all of them are required.
- Make the approach survivable before committing health. Do not send contributors one at a time into the same lethal pressure.
- After revival, reassess the objective and available survivors before starting another optional task.
Work the count before attempting the interaction
In an illustrative six-player squad with one dead player, five remain standing; the stated minimum is three contributors. With only two standing, both must join the sacrifice. These are examples of the rule, not a recommended death order or a test of a particular frame’s health mechanics.
The next bleedout may be shorter
The standard restrictions shorten the bleedout timer after successive revives, down to a five-second minimum. Do not assume the recovery window remains as forgiving as the first time. Agree who watches the team state and who keeps the objective under control so that every survivor does not abandon the same task simultaneously.
Protect reward participation
The three-minute dead-state restriction concerns Frozen Keys obtained while you stay dead. Do not reinterpret it as a guarantee about every reward in every failure scenario. Reviving someone can affect both the team’s ability to finish and that player’s participation in later bonus rewards; treat recovery as part of the run plan.
Separate a failed rescue from a script fault
Hotfix 44.1.1 includes a Tombstone script-error fix. If an updated attempt still produces a nonfunctional interaction, record the build, survivor count and visible prompt. A lack of contributors and an interaction that fails despite meeting the rule are different reports.
