Use the discard-fabric button before discarding with scissors; use the collect-all button to gather panel pieces. To move around the cutting room, drag to pan or use the mouse wheel with scissors selected. These are the controls documented for Build 443.

Why an older walkthrough may look different

The update rearranged cutting-room buttons and added tooltips. Identify an action by its label or tooltip instead of following a remembered screen coordinate. The scissors discard behaviour also changed: an older instruction that omits the explicit discard selection may no longer describe this build.

Before you discard

Our suggested check is simple: stop, identify what you intend to remove, then read the relevant control. Do not use discard as a navigation shortcut. This guide does not establish a refund, undo command or recovery method for lost fabric.

If you cannot find a panel

Distinguish gathering pieces from identifying them. The collect-all control addresses gathering; it does not explain where each component belongs. For component identification, see our panel placement guide. Keep a note of the component name instead of assuming that a missing piece was deleted.

If your controls differ

Record your installed build, the visible button label and the action you tried. The cited announcement establishes these changes for Build 443; it does not verify every later version or diagnose your particular save. Preserve the save while investigating. For planning before cutting, our rectangle layout tool compares simple dimensions, but does not reproduce the game’s panel shapes or cutting rules.
